Going for the Gold: Celebrating the Upcoming 2026 Special Olympics USA Games
Affinity Plus is counting down to the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games with statewide celebrations and strong support for athletes, families, and inclusive communities.
Which is why we’re already celebrating the athletes, coaches, and families involved in the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games, taking place in Minneapolis.
In June 2025, Affinity Plus joined the countdown to the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games with a fun celebration called “Go for the Gold.” In partnership with the Games and other sponsors, branches across Minnesota sported gold-themed decorations and many employees even dressed in gold to show their excitement and support.
“Our employees are excited about this partnership and their enthusiasm was on full display during Go for the Gold! We’re so excited the Games are now under a year away!” Adam Layne, Community Engagement Manager at Affinity Plus, said.
The Go for the Gold movement is part of a broader effort to raise awareness for the upcoming Games through events including a ceremonial first pitch at a Minnesota Twins game and turning the Minneapolis skyline gold.
