Supporting Minnesota Students by Providing Access to Computers
Affinity Plus partnered once again with KARE 11 and Minnesota Computers for Schools to host the second year of Tech Drive Tuesday donation drives. Tech Drive Tuesday donation drives were held at various Affinity Plus branches across the state of Minnesota where volunteers collected used technology donations.

This event was a way to create more digital equity as it allows for unwanted computer equipment to be re-housed and repurposed for students of all ages. The donations stayed in the community where they were donated to local students in need.
For every useable computer that was donated and was 5 years old or newer, the Affinity Plus Foundation donated $150 to Minnesota Computers for Schools to purchase another refurbished computer for a student or school in need.
This year more than 200 usable computers were donated, and the Affinity Plus Foundation matched that number of donations. A total of 470 computers went out to our local students in Affinity Plus communities across Minnesota.
These donations and the generosity of our communities ensure that Minnesota students will have the technology they need to stay connected and be successful this coming school year.
