Growing Food for Good in Shakopee
A garden carries plenty of potential, giving us a place to plant seeds and focus on what we hope grows.
In Shakopee, Affinity Plus recently swapped out the intentions for the Community Action Partnership (CAP) Agency’s garden, replacing pollinator plants with tomato, onion, peppers, cilantro, and cucumber plants, which will eventually provide fresh produce for the CAP Agency’s Food Shelf.
The CAP Agency Food Shelf in Shakopee offers people in need an immediate supply of food. The Food Shelf provides fresh produce, dairy items, bakery goods, and meat, as well as nonperishables. The organization serves Scott, Carver, and Dakota Counties.
Affinity Plus is proud to transform this new Community Garden, and we can’t wait to see how it grows and continues serving the community.
