Affinity Plus Foundation Welcomes Two New Members to Governing Board
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (May 29, 2026)– The Affinity Plus Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of two new members to its governing board: Amanda Bruggman and Sarah Kuesel. Both leaders bring years of professional experience, deep community involvement, and a shared passion for strengthening communities across Minnesota.
Amanda Bruggman serves as Duluth Branch Manager and has been employed with the organization since 2011. Throughout her tenure, she has been a key contributor to the Foundation’s annual events and fundraising initiatives. She also brings prior board leadership experience through her service with Lake Superior Community Health Center and Duluth Edison Charter Schools.
Bruggman is a community-focused leader passionate about storytelling and committed to building strong partnerships with nonprofit organizations to expand the Foundation’s reach and impact throughout the state.
“I am excited and honored to join the Affinity Plus Foundation’s Board of Directors and look forward to contributing to spread further impact across our communities,” said Bruggman.
Sarah Kuesel, who works as a Remote Services Senior Manager, has been with the credit union since 2015. She has played a key role in supporting the Foundation’s housing stability efforts in Minnesota communities. Her previous board service includes leadership roles with Boys & Girls Club of the Bemidji Area, Leech Lake Financial Services, and Bemidji Area Chamber of Commerce.
Kuesel brings a strong commitment to the Foundation’s mission, particularly its focus on housing stability and connecting with individuals and families in need throughout local communities.
“I joined the Affinity Plus Foundation board because I deeply believe that access to financial education and the resources the Foundation pours out into our communities changes lives,” said Kuesel. “I’m excited to step into this role and support work that leads with compassion and invests in communities, helping create a meaningful and lasting difference where we live and serve.”
