Across Minnesota, food banks are experiencing increased demand. But together, we can help. During Coins for a Cause, we’re accepting donations of spare change, multiplying it by two, equaling thousands of meals for neighbors in need.
Every cent you give, we’ll double up to a maximum donation of $25,000.

How to donate your spare change
Donate your coins at any of our 22 participating Affinity Plus branches, and we’ll match your amount for a food bank serving that community. And across all the communities, we’ll match up a to a grand total of $25,000.
Coin counting and donation receipts won’t be available.
10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The first 25 donors at each branch will receive a $10 gift card to Caribou Coffee and Affinity Plus branded coffee mug.

Every dollar donated provides 3 meals to Minnesotans experiencing hunger. And coins aren’t the only way you can help.
Credit or Debit Card
You can donate online with your credit or debit card by going to Second Harvest Heartland’s website. Your donation will be automatically routed to your local food bank!
MyPlus Rewards™ Points
Log in to the mobile banking app or online banking, and donate your points to Second Harvest Heartland. Your donation will automatically go to your local food bank.
Transfer From Your Account
We can donate right from your account, if you request it in a secure message from digital banking. Or you can call us.
Online, MyPlus and Account Transfer donations will be matched up to a grand total of $25,000. However, donation incentives, including the $10 Caribou Coffee gift card are limited to the first 25 in person donors at each participating branch on Friday, Dec. 9 between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. only.
