ST. PAUL, MINN. (September 8, 2023) – The Affinity Plus Foundation recently announced the 2023-2024 recipients of the Affinity Plus Foundation Scholarship Program. This year 15 student members from across the state of Minnesota were each awarded a $4,000 scholarship to use for their academics. 

“Affinity Plus is committed to helping our student members achieve their educational goals. We are so proud of each of these students, and are honored to award them these scholarships,” said Adam Layne, Senior Community Engagement Specialist, Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union. “No matter where you are in your educational journey we want to provide support to members by helping with some of the financial burden.” 

The Affinity Plus Foundation offers scholarships to primary member students that attend one of our partner campuses as a way for them to empower themselves and their communities. This year the Foundation awarded 15 students from our eight partner campuses throughout Minnesota. 

The winners, by community and school include:

  • Sydney Skoglund – Bemidji State University
  • Nicholas DeVriendt-LeDoux – Lake Superior College 
  • Tanner Carlson – Lake Superior College 
  • Kashfia Ahammed – Minnesota State University Mankato 
  • O’nell Moua – Minnesota State University Mankato
  • Iniobong Eyoh – Minnesota State University Moorhead
  • Hawi Daba – Minnesota State University Moorhead 
  • Adesola Adeyemo – St. Cloud State University 
  • Zouzou Umwari – St. Cloud State University 
  • Briana Clifton – University of Minnesota 
  • Natalie Narváez – University of Minnesota 
  • Whitney Spears – University of Minnesota – Duluth 
  • Grace Ashley – Winona State University
  • Isabella Uribe – Winona State University
