Bruce Powlish to Lead Affinity Plus in St. Cloud
Powlish brings a deep background of banking and customer service experience
ST. PAUL, MINN. (April 29, 2022) – Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union (Affinity Plus) is pleased to announce new leadership at its St. Cloud branch. Bruce Powlish joined the company on April 18 as branch manager to oversee the team’s operations and development and ensure members have the best customer experience possible.
"We’re thrilled to have Bruce bring his valuable customer service experience and leadership skills to our Affinity Plus team, St. Cloud branch and the community,” said LeAnne Troolin, director of branch services, Cambridge, Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union. “Through his previous professional and personal experiences, Bruce has demonstrated the ability to make a positive impact, and we’re confident he’ll continue to do so in his new role at Affinity Plus.”
Powlish was born and raised in Graceville, Minn. and attended Minnesota State University Moorhead, graduating in 2015 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. As a junior in college, he began working as a part-time customer service representative at Gate City Bank in Fargo, N.D. and was later promoted to a full-time customer service representative.
In his next role, Powlish continued at Gate City Bank coaching and training employees in sales development as an Epic Champion, a position he held for two years. He then moved to St. Cloud to support the bank in opening their Waite Park branch as an assistant vice president and customer service supervisor. Most recently, he gained experience outside of banking as a recruiter at Staff Management | SMX before making the decision to rejoin the banking industry with Affinity Plus, driven by his passion for community and people.

Outside of work, Powlish is an active member of the St. Cloud community, where he’s a Big Brother with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota. He also serves as both the membership director at the St. Cloud Rotaract and a board member of Bri's Lodge, a local nonprofit organization helping individuals cope with loss.
Powlish enjoys traveling locally and afar, and he currently lives in St. Cloud with his wife and two dogs.
