Laufers was one of 50 women from around the state who was honored for outstanding professional achievements, leadership qualities and contributions to the broader Twin Cities community. More than 900 people attended a special celebration at an awards
luncheon and expo at the Renaissance Minneapolis Hotel, The Depot.
“I am extremely honored to receive the 2019 Women in Business award and be amongst some amazing women leaders across our community,” said Laufers. “This award was made possible by the amazing women and men I have the humble privilege of working with each day and I hope it inspires them to continue to push themselves to do amazing things in their own careers.”
Laufers joined Affinity Plus in 2014 and has over three decades of experience in the industry.
“Teri is one of the strongest leaders I have been around during my career,” said Dave Larson, President and CEO of Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union. “I often speak of the importance of leaders achieving results. Effort is important, but results are key. Teri exemplifies results. So much of what we have accomplished over the past couple of years have been a result of Teri’s strong leadership. We often talk about the importance of getting better and stronger as an organization. We look to at areas where we believe we can be better for our members and employees. Teri embodies this belief and continually is looking for opportunities for us to improve. She is also so respected by our employees. She has this incredible ability with people that when she walks away from them, they want to be around her again.”
