Board Report
The Affinity Plus Foundation had a successful 2019, fully implementing our re-envisioned mission statement of “Engaging, educating and empowering individuals and communities across Minnesota.”
In 2019, the Foundation focused on engaging communities all over the state, seeking more opportunities to support our community members working toward a better future for everyone. We’re proud that the Foundation was able to award more than $150,000 in scholarships and grants to Minnesota students and changemakers in 2019.
We’re also proud of the work we’ve done to expand the Foundation’s ability to do more for Minnesotans, including hosting our most successful fundraising golf event ever, raising more than $60,000, all of which will go toward fulfilling the Foundation’s mission. We couldn’t have done it without the support of incredible vendors, partners, and those who genuinely care about the Foundation’s mission.
The Foundation’s financial health is strong, and the board continues to look toward the future for new ways to grow our impact. Part of that future will involve a transition in leadership, as outgoing-Board Chair Bill Urick hands the reins over to 2020 Board Chair Kate Austad.
Using our momentum from 2019, we look forward to expanding and growing our impact across Minnesota.
With a continued determination to support the people and organizations doing good, we believe we can affect change in creative and meaningful ways. Thank you for your ongoing support and generous contributions. We could not do this without you.

Scholarship Programs
The Affinity Plus Foundation recognizes the value of higher education in one’s pursuit of success. And greater learning comes at a greater cost. The Foundation awarded $70,000 through its Annual Scholarship and Campus Scholarship programs in 2019.
Learn about ScholarshipsVeterinary school is so expensive, and leaving my first four years of college with as little debt as possible is very important. This scholarship provides the financial assistance that will help me do just that. It also gives me the validation that the hard work I did to prepare for college is paying off.
I am extremely grateful for this opportunity and will not squander the blessings I have received. Thank you, Affinity Plus Foundation for supporting my dreams and believing in me!
