Building Friendships and Confidence at Summer Camp
Firefighters for Healing’s Camp RED, which stands for Realize Every Dream, is a camp program for children who have survived burn trauma.
The Affinity Plus Foundation provided funding to Camp RED through a $25,000 donation. This helped cover the cost of sending each child to camp, which was about $1,000 per person.

This year’s Camp RED was held in St. Paul and 25 campers from across the state were in attendance. The weekend long event gave participants the opportunity to be surrounded by other families who have shared experiences and similar injuries, feelings, fears, and concerns.
15 Affinity Plus employees volunteered at the picnic portion of Camp RED, which was held at Como Zoo. They helped run carnival games, painted faces, and participated in different relay races with the campers. It was an afternoon filled with fun and joy.
