Affinity Plus Helps Encourage Participation in Special Olympics Minnesota Polar Plunge with Special Promotion
Plungers who register with a special promo code will get a $50 donation toward their fundraising from Affinity Plus
ST. PAUL, MINN. (January 25, 2022) – Get ready to brave the frigid air and chilly water temperatures this season as Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union (Affinity Plus) once again partners with Special Olympics Minnesota for the annual Polar Plunge season. To encourage more participation from the community, Affinity Plus is providing a special incentive. The first 1,000 plungers who use promo code AFFINITYPLUS at registration will receive a $50 donation toward the required $75 fundraising minimum.
This year’s Plunge includes more than 20 in-person events throughout the state of Minnesota, as well as an option to plunge virtually. In-person plunge events begin the end of January and run through mid-March.
“Affinity Plus has been taking the Plunge for well over 10 years and we are excited to participate and partner with Special Olympics Minnesota once again,” said Adam Layne, Senior Community Engagement Specialist, Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union. “We hope this extra incentive encourages more people from the community to join the movement for inclusion by taking the Polar Plunge this year. It’s some of the most meaningful fun you can have!”
All funds raised by Polar Plunge participants help Special Olympics Minnesota provide year-round athletic and health-based services to thousands of athletes with intellectual disabilities across the state.
