Affinity Plus Hits the Airwaves: Your Credit Union Featured on KFAN's Overtime Show with Carly Zucker
Earlier this year, Affinity Plus proudly teamed up and became a sponsor of OVERTIME with Carly, which is a KFAN show and podcast in the Twin Cities area. In a special episode, which aired July 26, Carly invites Dave Larson, Affinity Plus President and CEO, to share why the credit union is dedicated to giving back and supporting the community.
Culture of Giving
This culture of giving, Dave says, comes from its 560 employees. The passion Affinity Plus employees have for people is inspiring, and they’re encouraged to bring forward opportunities in their community that they think can make a meaningful impact because, “…when you see a passion in someone it works.”
Dave and Carly discuss some of the ways Affinity Plus continues to support our local communities, which includes: Special Olympics Minnesota, featuring an Olympian of the Game during the coming college winter sports season. Affinity Plus also gives back to those furthering their education, by providing scholarships to student members. The credit union also preserves parks like Munsinger Gardens in St. Cloud which, during the show, we discover why this place also holds a special place in Carly’s heart ( listen to find out why!)
Affinity Plus also dedicates a full day to serving our communities on Plus It Forward Day, which is an annual day where the credit union’s 560 employees go out and spread kindness. This year, over 50 credit unions will join in under the umbrella name CU Forward Day. The next Plus It Forward Day is October 14!
