We are member-owned and member-operated by a volunteer Board of Directors, elected directly by the membership of the credit union. Our current Board leadership is listed below where you can also learn about the diverse background of each Director.

    Lori Trygg

    Lori Trygg

    Board Chair

    Lori Trygg joined the Board in 2010 and is the Vice Chair and General Counsel of the Board. She is a compliance officer for MMIC Group, a physician-owned medical professional liability insurance and health information technology company. Trygg has more than 25 years of experience in insurance and financial services. Her professional memberships include the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics, the Physician Insurers Association of America, and as a board member of the Minnesota Association of Corporate Counsel. Volunteer activities have included coaching youth sports and nine years on the Eagan Planning Commission. Trygg received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School.

      Ron Rollins

      Board Vice Chair

      Ron Rollins has served on the Board of Directors since 2008. For the past thirty years, he has worked as a labor lawyer in Minneapolis, representing diverse unions and assisting them with negotiations and administration of their contracts. Past community experiences include serving as a board member for a Minneapolis neighborhood association and The Labor Arbitration Institute. Rollins attended Bowdoin College in Maine, followed by two years of service in the Peace Corps. He then attended law school at the University of Wisconsin.

        Karen Foreman

        Karen Foreman

        Secretary

        Karen Foreman joined the Board of Directors in 2013. She is currently serving a four-year term as a Mankato City Council member, representing Ward One around East High School and Washington and Kennedy Elementary Schools. Foreman previously has a 30-year career with the State of Minnesota as a senior administrative staff support manager in higher education at Minnesota State University Mankato and Minnesota State University Moorhead. Karen is active in AFSCME and served as a local President, as President of AFSCME MnSCU Policy Committee for 10 years, and is a member of the Council 5 Executive Board.

          David Johnson

          Treasurer

          David Johnson has been an Affinity Plus Board member since 2007. He began working for the State of Minnesota in 1967, when he also became an Affinity Plus member. Johnson has worked for both the State legislature and the executive branch and specialized primarily in financial management. From 1998 to his retirement in 2003, Johnson served as Assistant Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Health and managed its administrative affairs including finance, technology, human resources, and facilities. Johnson has previously served on a variety of volunteer committees.

            Robyn Cousin

            Robyn Cousin

            Director

            Robyn Cousin is currently a business representative with Middle Management Association (MMA), an independent unaffiliated public employee union which represents almost 2,900 supervisors employed by the State of Minnesota. Prior to joining MMA, Cousin had a long career in public education in the Minneapolis Public Schools, managing the district’s community partner and volunteer programs. She has also served on several boards of non-profit organizations, on the local, state, and national levels. Cousin holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial education and a Master of Education degree in vocational education, as well as several certifications.

              Gary Denault

              Gary Denault is an incumbent Board member and has served intermittent terms on the Board in various positions since 1970. Denault has worked in Minnesota State government for 20 years as a professional, supervisor, and manager. His last 19 years of employment were as the Executive Director of Middle Management Association (MMA), a union representing supervisors who work in State government. Denault has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree from Indiana University.

                Connie Roehrich

                Connie Roehrich joined the Affinity Plus Board of Directors in 2008 and most recently served as Board Chair. Roehrich worked for the MN Department of Corrections for over 30 years; she served as a warden at three different correctional facilities over the past 20 years. Roehrich has been a member of numerous criminal justice organizations and currently is involved with MN Partners of the America, working closely with the correctional professionals in Uruguay, South America. Roehrich has a Bachelor of Science degree from Bemidji State University in social work and a Master of Science degree from Mankato State University in sociology.

                  Karen Snorek joined the Affinity Plus Board of Directors in 2009. She is the Vice-President of Finance and Administration with Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College. Snorek has 22 years of experience in higher education. Her past board experience includes Hometown Credit Union, Owatonna Early Edition Rotary, and the Affinity Plus Foundation. Snorek is also a member of the Faribault Rotary.

                    William Tschida

                    William Tschida

                    William Tschida has served on the board since 2002 in several positions including secretary, vice chair, and board chair. Tschida is retired from the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system where he served as the Vice Chancellor for Human Resources and Senior Administrator for personnel management and policy leadership. Tschida has been involved in a variety of volunteer activities and has served on many committees and boards, including Cathedral High School and Catholic Charities of St. Cloud. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree in business administration from St. Cloud State University.
