Tech Drive for Education

We’ve partnered with Minnesota Tech for Success to help build more digital equity across the state by providing students in need with reliable computers required for their education and development.

Minnesota Tech for Success has a specific need for laptop computers that are 5 years old or newer. However, we welcome most of your unwanted computer equipment. If it cannot be repurposed, it can be recycled to reduce e-waste in our landfills. Please review our complete list of accepted tech equipment below.

Contactless Dropoff

All Tech Drive for Education events will occur in the parking lots of our participating branches—just look for our big purple tent!

If you plan to visit a Tech Drive for Education event, we’re doing our best to ensure your safety and ours. Please follow these instructions prior to and when you arrive to the Tech Drive for Education event.

Preparing for the Tech Drive for Education event

  • Refer to the Tech Drive for Education calendar to ensure the date and time of your branch’s event
  • Place donations into your trunk and label all items you wish to donate “Tech Drive for Education”

When you arrive at the branch parking lot

  • Look for the purple Affinity Plus tent along with volunteers
  • Volunteers will direct you to the parking spot designated for making your donation
  • Once parked, pop your trunk so that the volunteers can take the donations out of your car
  • Tell the volunteers if you’d like a receipt or additional information
  • Leave the parking lot through the prescribed exit

Donate equipment, money, or even MyPlus Rewards™ points. All financial contributions will be matched up to a grand total of $25,000!
