We're excited to announce Apple Pay is now available to Affinity Plus members who have a Visa debit or credit card and an iPhone6, iPhone 6 Plus or Apple Watch. This new payment option offers members a convenient and secure way to store debit and credit information on their device to make purchases at participating retailers.
Here's how it works:
If you're an iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, or Apple Watch user, open your Passbook app and select "Set Up Apple Pay." If you already have your card information on file for your iTunes account select "Use Card on File with iTunes" or if not choose "Use a Different Credit or Debit Card". In "Card Details" click on the camera icon to take a photo of your credit or debit card to upload your information and key in your security code to complete your Apple Pay registration.
At participating retailers, you'll hold your phone or watch up to readers that have been place at point-of-sale counters. After your card information has been successfully transferred, you will hear a beep and feel a slight vibration from your device. Apple Pay may also be used in participating apps so you can process payments using Touch ID.
Aside from the convenience of being able to leave your cards and wallet at home when you're out running errands, Apple Pay also boasts these unique security features:
- Due to the absence of a physical card, you're able to keep your name, card number and security code private.
- Information stored on the phones can easily be deleted if phones are lost or stolen using the Lost Mode in the Find My iPhone app. Recent purchase information is kept in the Passbook app, but transaction information is not stored.
