Only the rogue remnants of confetti remain and the champagne toasts are now a memory…so might be your resolutions! You might not be a fan of resolutions; considering that most of them are both made and broken within the first month of a New Year, why would you be? At Affinity Plus, we’re holding to our resolutions and are approaching this New Year as a chance to make necessary changes, determine how we can improve, and remain committed to what we believe.

Maybe you’ve experienced us through your membership, through stories from family and friends, or maybe through our Ditch-Your-Bank ad campaign. No matter how you’ve interacted with us, we hope you’ve taken note of our commitment to our members’ experience. We take great pride in treating people as PEOPLE, listening to their stories, hearing their needs, and responding in a manner that is appreciated and helpful.

An excerpt of a recent message to the members of Affinity Plus from Dave Larson, President and CEO:

As we move forward, I want you to know that we will never change the core of who we are. We will continue to care about you and serve you well. I’m proud to say that we serve over 180,000 members, yet what we value the most is getting to know you, what makes you happy, and what you want to achieve in life. We want to continue to hear from you, and I recognize that surveys through the mail typically don’t allow for an easy or relevant way for you to share your feedback, so you’ll soon notice new ways for you to connect with us. I’m excited to strengthen this organization and create a dynamic workplace for our employees so that, in turn, we can better serve you and the communities in which we reside.

As we look to the future, we will be making some changes to better serve you and our entire membership; however, through these changes, we will not lose sight of your experience, the membership, and what we can achieve together. For example, we will be reducing our attention on billboards and TV, and instead our emphasis will be placed back on the credit union. We believe that if you are happy, you will tell your friends and family about Affinity Plus. And that’s the kind of organization we want to promote.

At Affinity Plus we are excited about the New Year. Like people all over the world, we are looking inside to take stock of our actions, our character, and our dreams. In the words of Robert Frost from Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening, “I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep.”

As we always do, we will listen to the thoughts of our members and we will continue to become a stronger organization for them. We exist because of them, and for them.
