On Friday, March 1, Affinity Plus President/CEO, Kyle L. Markland, is going to jump into Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis as a participant in the inaugural Executive Challenge, which is an additional event held in conjunction with the Polar Bear Plunge. The Executive Challenge questions the commitment and sanity (like, the water is really cold) of CEOs by challenging them to raise $10,000 for Special Olympics Minnesota so that they can plunge into freezing waters.

Here’s what Kyle had to say about why he’s accepted the Executive Challenge to be Freezin’ for a Reason:

“I know this is a crazy idea, but I have accepted the Special Olympics Executive Challenge and have agreed to do the Polar Plunge on March 1st. So what would compel me to go out on a frozen lake in Minnesota on the 1st of March and willingly jump into the frigid water? A very good cause that is why. I am committed to raising $10,000 for the Special Olympics of Minnesota. This organization helps more than 7,000 special athletes and one jump for me into the frigid waters will provide a lifetime of memories.”

Help Kyle raise $10,000 in support of Special Olympics athletes by making a tax deductible donation on his Polar Bear Plunge page today!

Since 2002, Affinity Plus has partnered with Special Olympics beginning with giving members and employees the opportunity to donate money to the organization. In 2008, the partnership grew by allowing them to donate Participation Rewards points, and in recent years, branches across the state have participated in the Polar Bear Plunge.
