ST. PAUL, Minn. (May 09, 2017) – Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union will host a Meet and Greet Thursday, May 11, at the Minnesota State Capitol with the Midway Chamber of Commerce.
The event is scheduled from 9-10:30 a.m. and begins in the basement of the Capitol rotunda. Along with opportunities to connect with other community members and businesses, the event will include tours that will showcase restored and repaired art and spaces, as well as stories about the Capitol’s extensive history.
The event is free for Affinity Plus members and the general public. Participants can learn more and register here.
The State Capitol is located at 75 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in St. Paul.
“This is a terrific opportunity to see the newly restored capitol, learn about the credit-union difference and hear about the work the Midway Chamber is doing to build programs and services for community businesses,” said Ben Hering, Affinity Plus Business Development specialist.
Affinity Plus has an active presence at the State Capitol and has a long-standing relationship with the state of Minnesota, Hering said. State employees are eligible to be Affinity Plus members and the credit union has a branch one block away from the State Capitol complex.
Affinity Plus also works regularly in collaboration with the Minnesota Credit Union Network (MnCUN). MnCUN works on behalf of nearly 400 credit union locations that serve over 1.7 million members by creating a positive public environment through leadership; political advocacy; education; awareness; and regulatory assistance.
