For 2021, the Foundation plans to focus its funding in four major areas to provide the most impact: Providing access to education and training; supporting entrepreneurs; building kind and inclusive communities; and ensuring all people can have their basic needs met.

Shanley started her career with Affinity Plus as a temp-to-hire Member Advisor in July of 2009 and became a permanent part of the team in August of 2009. Her ability to form and maintain community and business relationships partnered with her care and passion for employee development brought her to her current role as a Market Manager. Since 2017, Shanley has been successfully leading leaders across the organization and several branches while also obtaining her MBA in December 2020.

“I’m excited to join the Foundation board at a time when the impact the Foundation makes continues to flourish,” said Shanley. “The Foundation is more than just education and scholarships. It’s also about focusing on our communities across the state and making a greater impact together. I am thrilled to be part of something so special.”

Jacquie Twedt came to Affinity Plus in 2011. Most of her time at Affinity Plus has been spent leading Operations and, more recently, she welcomed the Document Management team. Twedt is passionate about the cooperative effort and says her personal values align with the sense of social responsibility credit unions demonstrate.

“I’m excited to hit the ground running for the Foundation at an exciting and impactful time,” said Twedt. “With Sustaining Membership opportunities and new community partnerships, the possibilities are endless and I cannot wait to help the Foundation grow it’s footprint in our communities.”
