Affinity Plus Spreads Kindness on Plus It Forward Day

Employees spread out in teams across their communities as they share kindness - an essential part of Affinity Plus' mission and core values.

Each year, our hope is that by scattering kindness, more kindness will result - whether you're a giver who keeps on giving, or a receiver who wants to Plus It Forward and share kindness with someone else.

Plus It Forward Day has become an amazing circle of generosity and gratitude we've seen grow every year for seven years.

In 2019, Plus It Forward Day grew to include over 55 others in the day's events. Affinity Plus has partnered with the Minnesota Credit Union Network (MnCUN) to rebrand the event as CU Forward Day to include this even-larger group of credit unions and partners, further growing the impact on Minnesota communities.

Here are a few of the many activities and events that took place throughout the day:

Grand Rapids: The team made inspirational road signs and lined up along Highway 169. They also visited the elderly, handed out gift cards, and more.

Fergus Falls: The team spread random acts of kindness throughout the community, including visiting firefighters and young kiddos. The Fergus Falls team also presented a check to 544 Education Foundation to help with educational needs.

Duluth: The team spent some time at Canal Park serving up tasty hot chocolate. They also led Bingo at a long-term care facility.

Minneapolis: Many events took place throughout the Metro area, including: flower bulb planting, garden clean-up at Lake Harriet Peace (Rock) Garden, serving brunch at an area hospital, creating heat wraps for patients at Minnesota Oncology and more.

Since 2013, Plus It Forward Day has elevated its core cooperative business principles of people helping people and active community engagement.
